In August 2021, Choopa had the most reliable hosting company site: it responded to all of Netcraft’s requests, with an average connection time of 3ms. Choopa has appeared in the top 10 table five times in 2021 so far, also coming top in February and April of this year. Customers can choose from a range of cloud and managed solutions as well as register domain names.
Aruba, Bigstep and CWCS Managed Hosting appear in second, third and fourth places. Aruba came close to Choopa in average connection time, averaging 5ms. Bigstep and CWCS Managed Hosting were both slower, averaging 62ms and 68ms.
Aruba provides hosting, cloud and digital signature services, fiber optic internet, digital preservation, and much more, with data centers across Europe in the UK, Germany, Czechia, Poland, Italy and France.
Bigstep’s bare metal cloud hosting provides the flexibility of cloud hosting without the associated overhead and performance reductions of virtualization. The bare metal offerings are available in data centres in the UK and Romania.
CWCS provides dedicated servers along with cloud services, as well as a variety of other solutions. CWCS has data centres across the UK, as well as North America.
All of the top 10 hosting company sites used Linux in August, making Linux clearly dominant in the top 10 throughout this year.

Customers can choose from a range of cloud and managed solutions as well as register domain names.
Bigstep, Webair and ServerStack appear in second, third and fourth places respectively. These sites responded to the same number of requests and were separated by average connection time. Bigstep’s bare metal cloud hosting provides the flexibility of cloud hosting without the associated overhead and performance reductions of virtualization. The bare metal offerings are available in data centres in the UK and Romania. Webair offers managed and private cloud services, storage and backup solutions from its eight facilities in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Montreal, London, Paris, Amsterdam and Singapore. ServerStack provides managed and dedicated solutions from its three data centres in North America and Amsterdam.
Nine of the top 10 hosting company sites used Linux in July, continuing the dominance of Linux in the top 10.

Rackspace was the most reliable hosting company site in May 2021, taking the top spot for the third time in the past 12 months, and appearing in the top 10 for 10 of the last 12 months. The top six hosting companies all responded to every request from Netcraft, and are ranked by the average connection time. Rackspace had the lowest average connection time of the six, earning it the title of most reliable hosting company site in May 2021. Rackspace offers a variety of cloud hosting solutions from 40 data centres across five different continents in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Choopa.com had the most reliable hosting company site in April 2021, heading the table for the fifth time in the past 12 months. The top five sites each responded to all of Netcraft’s requests, but Choopa.com’s average connection time of just 3ms wins it the top spot. The host offers a range of services including cloud hosting, dedicated hosting and colocation in its own primary facility in Piscataway, New Jersey as well as other facilities in Los Angeles, Amsterdam, and Tokyo.

In March 2021 GoDaddy had the most reliable hosting company site, with no failed requests and the fastest average connection time amongst the top 10 of 6ms. GoDaddy provides services that allow customers to build their own web presence, which include hosting solutions, domain registration, and a website builder focused on ease of use. In February, GoDaddy acquired Poynt to accelerate its strategy to provide a complete suite of commerce and payment services.
The top three sites each had no failed requests and were separated by average connection time. Rackspace came in second place with an average connection time of 7ms, just 1ms slower than GoDaddy. Rackspace provides a wide variety of cloud services from its global network of over 50 locations in five continents. CWCS Managed Hosting wraps up the podium places, in third.
